New Race Titles!

Hello WoD Community!

As part of the design for the new world, we are going to be re-hashing all the titles for both races and classes. This may not seem very exciting at first, but here's the cool part: We want YOU, dear readers, to participate! Post, in the comments for this announcement, suggestions you have for race titles!

The Borderlanders are a proud race who once inhabited the icy northern Baltran islands of Ezantoh. They were forced from their realm when the Ice Queen Alianaah led her army of Icedancers and laid siege to their towns and cities.

They were forced through the dark lands in the north and emerged again along the mountains of Targesh as well as in the cities of Dresoria and Rialb. They have regrouped and can be found in small encampments all along the border of the dark lands, even as far as to the borders of Rash Ter Gul where they frequently fight with the orc armies inhabiting the lands.

Dinturans are a wild civilization living in the Plains of Aoul. They are tall, extremely muscular and rumored to share a common ansestry with trolls. This ancestry is not only apparent in their physical appearance, but also in their blatant disregard for planning and independent thinking.

The gnome of Ezantoh are a highly social, naturally friendly and fun loving folk. They prosper along the river Areth, which stretches from Fells Deep past the hills of Thanos and through the northern forests of the Carossian empire, where it spills into the seas near the elven islands.

The gnome are respected by Elves for their adoration of nature and knowledge of arcane magic, admired by Halflings for their humor, and sought out by Dwarves for their skills with gems.

The Halflings of Ezantoh can often be found in their homelands among the hills of Thanos. They are very passionate, and always seem to be enjoying life.

They can be easily identified not only by their height, but also by their smell long before they are even seen due to their love of smoking diverse woodroots. Halfling pipes are very small and slender, but are designed to let the full aroma of the woodroot unfold.

Not only are they reknowned smokers, but they indulge themselves with food as well, and are quite capable of stirring up a satisfying lunch for their companions. For this reason they are often sought after for groups of adventuring heroes.

Kargashian wrote:

The Kargashian are a proud race of dwarf who live in elaborate cities beneath the Kargash Massive and throughout the Dwarven Kingdom. They prefer to live under the mountains as opposed to on the land, as their Targeshian kin do.

Deep in the mines under the Kargash Massive, they seek out powerful runestones with which they have learned to wield great magic.

Kerasi wrote:

The Kerasi can be found in the north-eastern regions of Ezantoh in the realm of Keras. Their appearance leads many to believe that they may be distant relatives of the gnome. The cold winds that arrive from the Baltran Islands chills the landscape frequently. This colder climate has left the Kerasi with a very nasty temper, and they often try to warm themselves by drinking various alcohols. This usually results in them being somewhat warmed, but in an even worse mood.

Mag Mor wrote:

The proud and rugged Mag Mor have always called some of the most dangerous forests in Ezantoh their home. They originated from the largest of the Elven Isles to the west of Ezantoh, but they can often be found in the wilderness stretching from Semarkesh, through the Chunirit forests all the way up into the Carossian Imperium.

They will gladly tell the tales of their adventures, and are known to embellish these to some extent. Their stories seem somewhat unbelievable from time to time, but they quite frequently carry evidence to back up their claims.

Partan wrote:

The Partan once inhabited the lands of Rash Ter Gul, but were driven from the area due to the invasion by the orc hordes. Their defiant retreat covered a span of many decades, forcing them to constantly adapt to their surroundings as they moved across the desert plains of Aoul.

Eventually they came to rest and settle in the hills of Parta on the north-eastern border of Aoul, where they remain to this day. They are adept at cultivating crops, and favor a wide variety of tobaccos. The Partan set aside time regularly in quiet to enjoy the smoke and reflect upon the circumstances that led them to where they are today.

Despite having been driven from their homeland, they have not lost their hospitality and will gladly share their tobacco with visitors, friends and merchants while they enjoy the conversation and news.

Rash Ter wrote:

The Rash Ter are descended from the Orcs of the Rash Ter Gul lands, and are the result of years of raiding Aoul and the lands surrounding it.

Due to their skin tone, they are quite easy to spot. Ranging from pale to very dark green, these folk do not have all of the characteristics of their full-orc bretheren, but a few of the dominant traits are still present.

Though they are not fully orc, they are treated with ill respect and distrust, making them very bad tempered and easily provoked.

Sha Jin wrote:

These travelers originate from the Shajin regions to the south-east of Ezantoh. They are somewhat leaner than the nomads that are occasionally found roaming the lands, and are very eager to improve their knowledge of the lands and its denizens.

These folk tend to be better versed in reading, writing and arithmetic, and have a sound understanding of science and combat.

Targeshian wrote:

The Targeshian are kin to the ancient Kargashian Dwarf. They migrated to the mountains of Targesh on the western borders of Ezantoh, closer to the Elven Isles and the trade empire of Nubal. They are famous for their skill with anvil and forge, and almost always have some sort of emergency miniature anvil tucked away in their large packs to keep the weapons of their companions dangerously sharp.

The Targeshian choose to live on the land rather than under it, but they still seek out prized gems with which they can affix to their metal masterpieces.

Tirem Ag wrote:

The Tirem Ag are a mystical race of elf from the Isles to the west of Ezantoh. They see themselves as a part of something greater that many races fail to comprehend, and have a deep respect and understanding of mystical powers that flow around and through the lands.

They are highly sought after for their abilities to harness the power of elvenstones, which seem to have originated from the heart of the Tirem Ag Island itself. These stones can be used to empower the adventuring companions during their journies.
